An employee was repairing a refrigeration unit and determined that there was a defective electrical switch. Other contractors were at the facility bleeding a gas line at the time. The employee went to the circuit breaker to shut off power by manually flipping the breaker when an explosion occurred. The employee suffered second degree burns to the upper body, including the face, arms, and hands.
