Employees were replacing stripping rubber. As they were pulling the line up with a lifting hook, the line became caught on a kick-out beam. When the line released from being snagged, it snapped up and the lifting hook struck the injured employee in the mouth. The employee lost three teeth, suffered a broken palate and maxilla, and had one tooth embedded into the roof of his mouth. He was hospitalized.
