Inhalation of harmful substance-single episode · Other respiratory system symptoms-toxic, noxious, or allergenic effect

An employee was watching a rotary screen while washing down the floor and equipment. In the area was a chemical dosing pump that delivers peroxide to a mixing system to clean and sanitize carcasses. The suction side of this pump has a chemical O-ring that compresses the suction hose feeding the chemical into the pump. The O-ring was compromised, allowing chemical to drip out of the hose and onto the floor. The employee breathed in the chemical vapors, exposing his respiratory system to them.
