An employee was attempting to clear material that was on fire inside a lint cleaning machine. The employee turned off the power and reached in to remove the burning material. The blade cleaning drum was still rotating and contacted the employee's hand. As a result, the employee sustained a thumb amputation and fingertip amputations to the middle and ring fingers.
