An employee was spraying mold release spray on an injection mold machine when the machine's tie bar closed and pinched the employee's hand on the spray can. The employee suffered crush injuries to their right middle and ring fingers, as well as an amputation of their right ring fingertip. The machine was guarded at the time of the incident.
