An employee was working from a scissor lift to lubricate the chain and sprocket on a overhead conveyor's motor. The employee observed a rag in the conveyor. As the employee retrieved the rag, his right pinky finger got caught in the conveyor chain/sprocket resulting in a fingertip amputation.
