Final narrative
On February 14, 2022, a truss assembly employee was laying out wood truss members when he noticed two trusses beginning to double-feed on the outfeed roller table for stacker no. 3. The employee went to the outside roller table, stepped between live/running rollers, and lifted the tail of truss #1 to hold it back and prevent it from feeding onto truss #2. At approximately 10:15 p.m., while holding back truss #1, an oncoming truss (truss #3) struck the employee in the back of the left thigh, resulting in an avulsion injury that required hospitalization.
