Final narrative
An employee was climbing an extension ladder on a garage. He hit his knee and fell onto stone 12 feet below. He suffered two broken thoracic vertebrae, lacerations to the back, a damaged lung, and paralysis of the legs. He was hospitalized and underwent surgery.
