An employee was operating a sit-down forklift, traveling from west to east adjacent to pallet racking. Another powered industrial truck (PIT) struck the employee's forklift on the left side. The PIT's right fork penetrated the seating section of the employee's forklift just above the battery housing and traveled under the operator's seat. The PIT's left fork struck the employee's left leg. The employee sustained a fracture and a puncture wound to the left leg below the knee.
