Final narrative
An employee was trying to rotate the drive shaft of a lateral sprayer with a crescent wrench. When the shaft rotated, the tip of the employee's left thumb was pinched between the wrench and the lateral cross-bracing, resulting in a fingertip amputation. The employee was hospitalized.
