A fireworks technician was setting up a fireworks display and connecting the electrical ignitor into the shunted module. While unraveling the ignitor, it discharged a 3-inch finale chain (10 shells). The first shell struck the technician's rib cage and arm. The technician was hospitalized with burns to the ribcage and a laceration to the right arm.
