On May 18, 2023, an employee was traveling between two areas when a partially frozen slug of phenol containing material from an overhead leak (phenol/sulfate water) dislodged and struck his hard hat and jacket. Liquid then splashed onto his neck and face and the employee sustained first-and second-degree burns to the right side of his neck and torso.
