An employee was operating a wire drawer in the wire drawing department to make a spool of single-strain wire. The spool malfunctioned and began to double wrap. The employee stopped the machine and applied tension to get it in place when their hand contacted the jog bar. This resulted in amputation of the employee's right little finger below the nail.
