An employee was helping unload steel slit coils on a slitting line, using an overhead crane with a C-hook. The coil did not fit properly onto a turnstile. Another operator went to remove the coil from the C-hook using a forklift while the employee held the C-hook steady. The forklift contacted the coil, causing it to fall from the hook. It landed on the employee s foot, breaking four bones. The incident took place during a training activity.
