An employee was working from a ladder to remove a test gauge from an air-charged water line. When he unthreaded a pipe to remove the gauge, the release of air pressure unexpectedly pushed the pipe into him, knocking him from the ladder. The employee landed on the concrete floor below, resulting in a broken hip.
