An employee was troubleshooting an incubator in which an egg rack was failing to turn. An airline (which supplied compressed air used to turn the rack) had been pinched; as the employee began to check it, it opened and the rack turned and amputated his right ring fingertip (without bone loss). The fingertip was also fractured.
