Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:
The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which
were free from
recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious
physical harm to
employees in that the employer did not furnish employment  and a place of
employment  which
were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause
death or serious physical
harm in that employees were exposed to the hazard of moving vehicles:
a)  Citrus grove ar 1868 CR 29, Lake Placid, Florida - An employee riding
as a
passenger on a glove goat loader was standing on the step beside the
driver when the
vehicle overturned in a ditch, crushing the employee, on  or about
November
23, 1996.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this
hazard is to prohibit employees from tiding as passengers on vehicles
where no seats
are provided and to strictly enforce this rule.
