Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to a recognized hazard of explosion and burns:
(a)  Royal Pacific Fisheries, Inc.:  Employers working on the dock
facility had
occasion to be near an oxygen tank that had a pressure
regulator with a broken
and damaged gauge that did not provide reliable gauge
information.  This
conditions exposed employees to possible burns in the event of
gauge
malfunction.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method of
abatement would
be to replace the gauge.
