General-duty citation text

Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Sagfety and Health Act of
1970:  The employer did not furnish employment and a place of
employment which were free from recognized hazards that were
causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees were exposed to:
(a)  Roof Area:  Food Court, Header Beam at Column M 14.1;
On December 6, 1993, an employee who was standing on top of
a structural beam was exposed to the hazard of falling to a
lower level twenty seven feet below.
(b)  Second Floor:  West on H Line;  On December 16, 1993,
it was observed that one employee was sitting on a beam and
another employee was kneeling on metal decking.  Both
employees were exposed to the hazard of falling to the
ground seventeen feet below.
Among other methods, one possible and acceptable abatement
method to correct this hazard is for employees to use safety
belts and lanyards to tie off and for the employer to train
and ensure that employees use the proper
