Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that: 14 Moss Ledge Road, Westport, CT: Employees were exposed to the hazards of first, second and third degree burns where no ventilation was provided in a room where Wil-Bond, a product with a flash point of 29 degrees Fahrenheit and a Lower Explosive Limit of 1.2, was being applied. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method of abatement to correct this hazard is to provide mechanical ventilation to the room in order to reduce the level of flammable vapors.
