Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
a.  Receive serious injuries due to an impact from an equipment without an
operable
horn, distinguishable from the sorrounding noise level, used to move
differents packs of
fertilized (100 lbs) bags.  The following equipment do not have in use the
horn:  Loader
Caterpillar #916, 912; finger lift, trademark King.  Among other methods,
one
feasible
and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to repair the
horns and protect
it from corrosion with NH4SO4.
a.  Recibir lesiones debido a impacto con equipo que no tiene bocina
funcional, audible
del ruido circundante, usado para mover diferentes sacos de fertilizantes
(100 lbs.).  Los
siguientes equipos no tienen en uso la bocina:  Un "loader" marca
"Caterpillar" #916,
912; un montacarga marca "King".  Entre otros metodos, un metodo aceptable
y posible
para corregir este riesgo es reparando las bocinas y protegerla de la
corrosion con sulfato
de amoniaco NH4SO4.
