Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to:
(a) Roofing Area - Double Wide Unit - Side A & B - At the time of the
inspection employees
were noted working on the roof of side B without fall protection.  The
catch platform was
approximately 24 inches from the roof edge, and no safety harness was
utilized on this side. On
4/28/98 employees were noted working on side A with no safety harness.
Among other methods, one way of abatement is to assure the catch platform
is placed within 10
inches of the unprotected side of the roof and use safety harnesses.
Brilliant Homes was previously cited for a violation of this OSHA standard
or its equivalent
