Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:

El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At the establishment: Due to the fact that for the last three (3) months
the working site
did not have a service connection for potable water intake, the water
closets on ladys and
gentlemen toilet facilities were not provided with water; exposing the
employees to the
hazard of non hygienic conditions and hence, to fecalborned infectious
diseases.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this
hazard is to tap
for water to serve employees sanitation needs.
En el establecimiento: Debido al hecho de que por los pasados tres (3)
meses el sitio de
trabajo no tuvo una conexion para una toma de agua potable, los inodoros
de las
facilidades sanitarias para hombres y mujeres no fueron provistos con agua
potable;
exponiendo a los empleados a condiciones no higienicas y por tanto, a
enfermedades
infecciosas transmitidas por heces fecales.
Entre otros metodos, un metodo accesible y aceptable para corregir este
riesgo es hacer
una union de toma para agua para satisfacer las necesidades sanitarias de
los empleados.
