Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to the hazard of being struck/ crushed by falling
manufactured homes:
a)Installation site, on or about 6/1/99:  Multiple sectioned manufactured
homes
being installed were not provided with temporary support blocking and not
all of the support piers were placed on a solid foundation.
ABATEMENT NOTES:
1)Install homes as outlined in the manufactures installation manual,
following requirements such as, but not limited to the use of
temporary support blocking, and lowering the home equally opposed
to one side at a time.
2)Follow the requirements as set forth in NCSBCS/ANSI A225.1 1994,
chapter 5.
