Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees. The employer did not provide and insure the use of a foot switch to activate the Rigid Pipe Threading Machine. One feasible and acceptable means of compliance is to install a foot switch that meets the requirements set forth by the manufacturer and the American National Standards Institute. No additional abatement information is required for this item.
