Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: a. At establishment. Building, automotive service parts storage area. Receive injuries from uncontrolled fire due to interference with illumination system. At the time of inspection the fixed lighting assembly was not 18 inches cleared from stored merchandise boxes. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to ensure that the minimun unobstructed clearence space from fixed lighting is 18 inches. a. En establecimiento. Edificio, almacen piezas automoviles. Recibir lesiones por fuego incontrolado, debido a interferencia con sistema iluminacion. Al momento de inspeccion las lamparas de iluminacion fija no estaban a 18 pulgadas de cajas de mercancia almacenada. Entre otros metodos, un metodo aceptable y posible para corregir este riesgo es asegurar que el espacio minimo sin obstruccion a las lamparas sea de 18 pulgadas.
