Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
a.  Receive injuries due to fall of the drawer from the following cabinet
files used by
employees to store expedients: 1- One cabinet file with  five drawers,
legal size, 2-
Seven cabinets files with  four drawers each one, letter size. The cabinet
files were
located at the establishment, first floor. Among other methods, one
feasible
and
acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to repair the drawer
files or change
it for new cabinet files.
a.  Recibir lesiones dado a caida de las gavetas de de los gabinetes de
archivos usados
por los empleados para almacenar expedientes: 1- Un gabinete de archivo de
cinco
gavetas, tamano legal,  2- Siete gabinetes de archivos de cuatro gavetas
cada uno, tamano
carta. Los gabinetes de archivar  estaban localizados en el
establecimiento, primer piso.
Entre otros metodos, un metodo aceptable y posible de corregir este riesgo
es reparar las
gavetas de los gabinetes archivos o cambiarlos por gabinetes nuevos.
