Section 5(a)1 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:
The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a
place of employment
which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to
cause death or serious
physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a fall
hazard:
a.  Welding area/Yard: On or about March 13, 2002, an employee was working
from a basket
mounted on a Caterpillar 80 forklift, Serial #3CM12059, and standing on a
midrail while
inspecting the motor of an overhead crane.  The employee was 16 feet from
the ground.
AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE METHOD TO
CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO USE APPROPRIATE FALL PROTECTION.
