Section 5a1 of the Occupational safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees working from a rough terrain forklift elevated personnel platform. Pella Windows Inc. - Employees working from a platform attached to a rough terrain forklift approximately 22 feet above grade were not utilizing fall protection. Feasible means of abatement would be to insure that employees wear appropriate fall protection as required, and to comply with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, ASME B56.6- 1992 Safety Standard for Rough Terrain Forklifts. CERTIFICATION REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM.
