Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:

El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At "Almacen Central y Centro de Distribucion de Medicamentos del
Departamento de
Salud"; the employees were performing the following works: writing in the
computers,
data analysis, answering the phone, moving, arranging and dispatching
medicaments and
merchandise, among others. There was evidence of water spots on the
acoustic panels
due to water filtrations throught the ceiling, because the air conditioner
condensation
located in the second floor of the building
Hazard: Slips and falls.
Among other correction methods, one feasible and acceptable to correct
this hazard is
rectify the air conditioner units .
En el Almacen Central y Centro de Distribucion de Medicamentos del
Departamento de
Salud; los empleados estaban realizando los siguientes trabajos:
escribiendo en
computadoras, analizando datos, atendiendo el telefono, moviendo,
acomodando y
despachando medicamentos y mercancia, entre otros. Existia evidencia de
manchas de
agua en los paneles acusticos debido a las filtraciones de agua a traves
del techo, por la
condensacion de los acondicionadores de aire localizados en el segundo
piso del edificio.
Riesgo: Resbalones y caidas.
Entre otros metodos, uno factible y aceptable para corregir este riesgo es
rectificar
las
unidades del acondicionador de aire.icionador
