Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to the hazard of falling:
(a)  Location - 260 Eastern Avenue, Malden, MA
On or about 8/19/03, an employee stood on the railing of a portable
stairway while
changing a light bulb approximately 16 feet above the floor.
One feasible and acceptable method of abatement to eliminate this fall
hazard include but
is not limited to, using a portable stairway of an appropriate height.
