Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:

El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At the yard of the Hormigonera MayagGezana in Gurabo, the employee was
filling the concrete
machine. The following was found:
1. The employee drove and used the loader L48 trademark Caterpillar, Model
F950 and Serial
Number 64G00479 that had faulty emergency breaks.
2. The employee drove and used the loader # L21 (without other
identification available) with
faulty breaks.
Hazard: Mechanical handling equipment striking employees or collision for
malfunction.
Among other  correction methods, some feasible and acceptable methods to
correct this hazard
are repair the breaks or replace the equipment.
En el patio de la Hormigonera MayagGezana en Gurabo, el empleado estaba
llenando la maquina
hormigonera.  Lo siguiente fue encontrado:
1. El empleado manejo y uso el "loader" L48 marca Caterpillar, Modelo F950
y Numero de
Serie 64G00479 que tenia los frenos de emergencia defectuosos.
2. El empleado manejo y uso el "loader" L21 (sin otra identificacion
disponible) con los frenos
defectuosos.
Riesgo: Golpear empleados en el manejo de equipo mecanico o choque o
colision por
malfuncionamiento.
Entre otros medios de correccion, varios metodos factibles y aceptables
para corregir este riesgo
es reparar los frenos o reemplazar el equipo.zar
