Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:

El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que
estaban causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At the Beverage Plastics plant, close to the exit door, the employee was
drawing out the
preforms from inside of the hooper that was not identified, which had 5
feet of depth
approximately.
Hazard: Cave in the hooper and strokes with the parts of the equipment.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct the
hazard is:
a) The design of an engineering control for draw out the preformas.
En la planta de Bevarage Plastics, cerca de la puerta de salida, el
empleado estaba
sacando preformas del interior del recibidor que no estaba identificado,
el cual tenia 5
pies de profundidad aproximadamente.
Riesgo: Atrapado en el recibidor y golpes con las piezas del equipo.
En otros metodos, un metodo posible y aceptable para corregir este riesgo
es:
a) El diseno de un control de ingenieria para sacar las preformas.
