Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a fall hazard of over 8 feet: a)Warehouse Area: Employees are lifted on a wood pallet on the forks of a York industrial truck and are not protected from the hazard of falling to the concrete floor below, on or about 06/01/2005. Abatement Note: One feasible and acceptable method of abatement, among others, is to provide a "safety platform" used in accordance with ANSI B56.1-1975, Part II, Section 513, or equivalent protection.
