Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazards of being struck or run over by equipment: a) Summerlin Corners, Newnan Crossing Blvd and Lower Fayetteville Rd., Newnan, GA on or about December 5, 2006. An employee was exposed to struck by / run over hazard, while engaged in landscaping operations, was climbing into the forks of a compact skid steer loader and riding in the forks across the construction site. One suitable means of abatement is to prohibit the practice of allowing employees to ride in the attachment (forks) of a compact skid steer loader. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED
