Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer shall furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which are free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the condition(s) listed below: On or about 5/1/06; employees retrieving stock from approximately 15 feet above ground level were standing on a wooden pallet placed on the forks of the powered industrial truck exposing employees to the hazard of falls. A feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard would be: to lift personnel in accordance with American National Standards Institute 4.17.1 and 4.17.2.
