North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were were exposed to vehicle traffic: a)establishment, parking deck main entrance - where employee(s) were working in the road without the use of temporary traffic control devices such as, but not limited to, cones and signs. were exposed to vehicle traffic. Abatement Note: One feasible and acceptable abate method, among others, to correct this hazard is to install high visibility cones and traffic signs to alter vehicle traffic away from the work area.
