were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to

an employee was observed riding on the outside of the cab, standing on the
step on a John Deere
410G Tractor traveling on a road with heavy traffic. This employee was
exposed to the hazard
of falling from the tractor and being crushed and/or struck by either the
John Deere or passing
vehicles. AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE METHOD TO
CORRECT THE HAZARD IS TO FOLLOW THE MANUFACTURERS OPERATING
MANUAL WHICH PROHIBITS ANYONE OTHER THAN THE OPERATOR TO BE ON
THE MACHINE WHILE IT IS BEING OPERATED.
