T.C.A. 50-3-105(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: In that the employer did not ensure that the feed chute on the Chicken Mixer was free from sharp edges which could and have caused injuries to employees. One feasible means of abatement would be to replace the metal piece on the feed chute with a material which does not have sharp edges.
