puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos

At Bacardi Corporation, in the cargo elevator model FA-102-5, capacity
1000 lbs, stops
2, SN/M12264A,  used to transport merchandize from the first floor to the
second floor
where the cafeteria is located. An employee of Jose Santiago Inc, was
unloading the
merchandize from the elevator at the second floor at 15 feet 5 inches
height, when it fell
trought a hole at the posterior part of the elevator who was uncovered an
not protected
causing his death. The area of the cargo elevator that was uncovered was
of 28 inches
wide by 78 inches long. The employer did not trained the employees in the
recognition
of unsafe and hazardous conditions to avoid its. The employee was
retreaving groceries
from the elevator platform.
Hazard: Fall.
Among other correction methods, a feasible and acceptable method to
correct this hazard
is to trained the employees in the recognition of unsafe work conditions
to avoid work
close to its and inform their employer about the conditions.
En Bacardi Corporation, en el elevador de carga modelo FA-102-5, capacidad
1000 lbs,
de 2 paradas, numero de serie M12264A,  utilizado para transportar
mercancia del
primer piso al segundo piso donde se encuentra localizada la cafeteria. Un
empleado de
Jose Santiago Inc, estaba descargando mercancia del elevador de carga en
el segundo
piso a 15 pies 5 pulgadas de altura, cuando este cayo a traves de un hueco
en la parte
posterior del elevador que no estaba cubierta ni protegida causando su
muerte. El area
del elevador que estaba descubierta era de 28 pulgadas de ancho por 78
pulgadas de
largo. El patrono no adiestro a los empleados en el reconocimiento de
condiciones
inseguras y peligrosas para que estos las evitaran. El empleado estaba
extrayendo
comestibles de la plataforma del elevador.
Riesgo: Caida.
Entre otros metodos de correccion, un metodo factible y aceptable para
corregir este
riesgo es adiestrar a los empleados en el reconocimiento de condiciones de
trabajos
inseguras para que los empleados las eviten y le indiquen al patrono sobre
las mismas.
