Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to the hazard(s) of being struck-by or crushed-by:
(a)On or about 07/29/08, at 1625 County Road 437, Cullman, AL, an employee
was
struck-by a wheel assembly when it came loose from the bead hook.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this
hazard would be to
securely fasten the load to the knuckle boom crane by the use of a sling
that cradles the tire from
the outside or a tirehand that clamps on the tread area.
