Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:06/19/08 Equipment:NH09A/INH30A Aichi Truck Mounted Aerial Platform, Serial: #670214 Location:Jobsite, Northeast Facing Side of Building Condition:The employer did not ensure that the boom of the NH09A/INH30A Aichi truck- mounted aerial platform, Serial: #670214, was not being used as a crane to lift items up to the building for installation. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to use a crane to lift and support objects being installed at height above ground and require that appropriate work practices be followed in accordance with the NH09A/INH30A Aichi Truck Mounted Aerial Platform Operation Manual. Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs, training certification, etc.) is required for this item.
