Among other feasible methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to ensure the below-the-hook lifting devices are proof tested, inspected and marked in accordance with American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) B30.20-2006 Below- the-Hook Lifting Devices, Section 20-1.2.1 Marking, Section 20-1.3.1 Inspection and Section 20-1.3.8.2 Load Test. ***Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c)***
