North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and
Health Act of North Carolina:  The
employer did not furnish to each of his employees  conditions of
employment and a place of employment free
from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or
serious physical harm to employees, in
that employees were exposed to a combustible dust fire and/or explosion:
a)facility - employees working in the facility were exposed to combustible
wood dust produced by
cutting, routing, boring, and sanding operations used to form the product.
Among other methods of abatement one feasible method would be to follow
the guidelines laid
out in National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 664 - Standard for the
Prevention of Fires
and Explosions in Wood Processing and Woodworking Facilities (2007
Edition).
