Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employmnent and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to falling wood frame walls.
Location: 50 Farrel Road, Weston, CT
On or about 07 May 2009, at 50 Farrel Road, Weston CT, four employees were
lifting a 2x6
outer frame wall into place.  The 2x6 supports slipped from the wall while
the employees were
lifting it into place causing the wall to fall back to the floor seriously
injuring one employee.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this
hazard is to use wall
jack type devices in order to lift a wood frame wall.
