Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, Section
35(a)(1) of the Virgin
Islands Act 6846 as amended on July 19, 2006, 24 V.I. R&R 36 (b)(1)-(1)*,

Each employer shall furnish to each of it's employees a place of
employment which is free from
recognized hazards that are causing or are likely to cause death or
serious physical harm to its
employees.
On or about 5-30-13:
Location: In the Hearing Room.
a) The Employer failed to ensure that microphone cords created an
obstruction across the
working surface that could result in trip and fall. Exposed employees
could possibly
suffer from bruises, contusions, fractures, etc.
THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT VERIFICATION
IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
