Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards
that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that
employees were exposed to fall hazards:
a)  520 Secaucus Road, Secaucus, NJ
Employees use a body belt as part of a fall arrest system on a high lift
order
picker.
Violation observed on or about 11/18/09.
AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT
METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO:
1. Use full body harnesses, as part of a fall arrest system on a high lift
order picker.
2. Develop and implement a training program for operators to ensure that
employees
understand the use, limitations and inspection methods for the fall arrest
system.
