Section 5(A)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: On or about 01/11/11 on a job site located on 1000 Indian Trace Circle, West Palm Beach an employee was exposed to a fall hazard as he trimmed hedges from the top step of a portable step ladder from a height of approximately 6 feet. Among other methods of abatement, one feasible and acceptable method to correct the hazard is to prohibit employees from standing on the last step of a portable ladder.e
