Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to struck by hazards:
a) Worksites such as, but not limited to, Store # 1524, 50 International
Drive, Flanders, NJ
The employer did not do planned maintenance, as recommended by the
manufacturer, on the Crown SC4020-30 forklift.
Violation disclosed on or about 6/29/10.
AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT
METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO:
1.  Implement a Planned Maintenance (PM) program according to the
manufacturers
recommendations.
