obstruct his visibility, thus exposing employees to struck-by and caught
between hazards on or
about 07/14/11.
AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE METHOD TO
CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO FOLLOW THE BACKHOE LOADERS OPERATOR'S
MANUAL, WHICH STATES ON PAGE 1-10; NUMBER 25 "ALWAYS CARRY THE
LOADER BUCKET LOW FOR MAXIMUM STABILITY AND VISIBILITY, WHETHER
THE BUCKET IS LOADED OR EMPTY".
NOTE: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the
inspection case
file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of
abatement for this
violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.
